Through word of mouth, Lampang River Lodge has long been a popular
hideaway for nature lovers. Just 200 metres off the Paholyothin Road in
Lampang, the resort sits on an area of 25 rai of lush green undergrowth
and trees on the banks of the Wang River. The land was formerly a
farming area for local villagers and since being turned into a resort
fourteen years ago more trees have been planted to provide a shady and
natural environment for guests to experience their time here close to
nature. The nature loving guests enjoy wandering around vast grounds and
this hotel has placed signs in English and Latin of tropical trees and
plant names.
The resort was recently awarded the Unseen Paradise in Thailand award by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The
resort is environmentally-friendly and works closely with the local
community. This property has a good water treatment system to prevent
the release of waste water into the Wang River and light bulbs are
electricity saving.
